Herndon Asphalt Engineering& Consulting, LLC  is a local family-owned and operated company located in Lexington, SC. Our services include asphalt patching, crack filling, sealcoating, and pavement markings (Stripping). We are ideally suited to provide these preventive maintenance services for driveways, apartment complexes, shopping centers, and commercial business properties, etc. within the Midlands of South Carolina. We can provide our services during off business hours (night and weekends) for facilities that need to maintain normal business operations.

Our owner/founder David A. Herndon PhD has over twenty-five years of hands-on experience in the asphalt industry ranging from laboratory research, asphalt production/ placement, end-result inspection of asphalt pavements, and asphalt technical specification development. Dr. Herndon received his PhD from Clemson University in Construction Management specializing in construction materials with an emphasis on asphalt research in 2007. He has published numerous research papers and has served on various national, state, and industry-related quality improvement committees. He is currently certified in and also serves as primary instructor for all of the SCDOT Asphalt Certifications Programs at Tri-County Technical College located in Anderson, SC.

Dr. Herndon founded Herndon Asphalt Engineering & Consulting in 2010, to meet the tremendous need for proper asphalt pavement preventive maintenance services for home and commercial business owners.
